Earlier this week British Airways announced that the first two destinations for their new A380’s are Los Angeles (LAX) and Hong Kong (HKG). They will start flying to and from LHR and LAX on October 15th, 2013 (initially will only fly 2 to 5 days per week) and to and from HKG on November 15th, 2013 (daily) . Here is a video from BA with a quick glimpse of the interior of the A380;
Back on Dec. 11, 2012 British Airways announced their seating on their new 787’s. I never wrote about it because by the time I got around to doing so, the 787 was grounded. I am sure (or hope) it will be up and flying soon and British Airways will still have the same layout. Plus this article from Business Traveller also includes the seating chart for BA’s A380’s. The 787’s will have three classes. Club World (Business Class), World Traveller Plus (Economy Plus), and World Traveller (Economy) while the A380 will have four classes. First, Club World, World Traveller Plus, and World Traveller. British Airways was scheduled to take delivery of their first 787 in May.
